Part 2 of our series deals with the blessings that
flow from honoring our Father - who is so very
worthy! Let's take a look at what happened to
Brian when he got carried away and forgot this
principle...
Brian
started three businesses that each wound up
crashing down around him.
They did fine…for a while…and then,
he had to admit to failure.
After some serious prayer and study, he
discovered a principle for successful business
that isn’t in all those marketing manuals.
He had not been acknowledging God in any
of his efforts.
He was quite the braggart when it came to
talking to others about his success.
He had begun to think quite a bit of
himself! Let’s
always remember that we can do no good thing
without our Father! He is the one who gave us our talents and abilities and the
courage to use them!
Give Him ALL glory and honor for any
success we may achieve.
He in return, will honor us with his
blessings.
Let’s look at
the scriptures Brian was missing:

Can
you imagine…being honored by GOD???
According to His word, this is
His desire!
We all know that He expects us
to honor Him. |

“A
son honors his father, and a servant his
master.
If I am a father, where is the
honor due me?
If I am a master, where is the
respect due me?” says the LORD
Almighty.
Malachi

But did you know
that He wants to honor US?
I believe it saddens him when we
disqualify ourselves from the honor He
desires to give us. |

“Therefore
the LORD, the God of Israel, declares:
‘I promised your house and your
father’s house would minister before
me forever.’
But now the LORD declares: ‘Far
be it from me!
Those who honor me I will honor,
but those who despise me will be
disdained’.
I Samuel 2:30 |

We
must be in a position to receive this
honor. |
|

|
Whoever
serves me must follow me; and where I
am, my servant also will be.
My Father will honor the
one who serves me.
John 12:26

What
does 'honoring God & being honored'
have to do with my business? We
need to honor God in EVERYTHING
we do. If we are not honoring God,
and thus being honored by Him, then
anything we ever have or achieve is
meaningless and will soon fail.

But
seek FIRST His kingdom and his
righteousness, and all these things will
be given to you as well.

What
happens if we don't honor Him? |
|
|
|
If
you do not listen, and if you do not set
your heart to honor my name,” says the
LORD Almighty, “I will send a curse
upon you, and I will curse your
blessings.
Yes, I have already cursed them,
because you have not set your heart to
honor me.
Malachi 2:2

What
a blessing it is to Honor God!
Let’s glorify Him in all we do.
Not only are we blessed by the great
feeling we experience as we share His goodness and
give him honor, but He then chooses to bless us
– beyond measure!
In
the next issue, we’ll discover that our Father
wants to guide and direct us towards success!
We’ll learn to pray and hear His voice
– and be obedient to His directions!
