Part 4 - Six Figure Income In Six Days
With Only Six Minutes Work?

Do you really believe such things are possible?

Part 4 of our series concerns God's principle of reaping what we sow.  Six figure income in six days with only six minutes work?  I DON'T THINK SO!  Fred really learned the hard way!

We Reap What We Sow!

Fred was ecstatic!  The ad on the internet said “Six figure income in six days with only six minutes work!”.  He knew it “sounded to good to be true” and a little voice was telling him that it had to be…but…He read all the fine print.  He studied the testimonies of the people it was working for.  He decided that $99 wasn’t too much to spend for such a great opportunity.

Fred, Fred, Fred – did you PRAY first?  Did you pick up your bible to see what God had to say about such things?  My brother if you had, then you would have been reminded about our Father’s principles of reaping and sowing.

Let’s look at the Biblical Principle of Reaping & Sowing:

The Bible has many wonderful scriptures about the virtues of work!  Some of my favorites include:

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked.  A man reaps what he sows.  Galatians 6:7

He who works his land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment.  Proverbs 12:11

Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth.  Proverbs 10:4

All hard work brings profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.  Proverbs 14:23

Did you know that work was God’s idea?

The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.  Genesis 2:15

And…He is the one who gives us the skills and talents we need in order to succeed.

He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as craftsmen, designers, embroiderers in blue, and purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers-all of them master craftsmen and designers.  Exodus 35:35

Paul took God’s instruction to work seriously and was a great example for us.  Even though he was entitled to receive his support from the people to whom he ministered, he chose to work as a tentmaker in addition to the ministry work that he was engaged in.

For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule:  “If a man will not work, he shall not eat.”  2 Thessalonians 3:10

If it’s God’s idea that we work, than what should our attitude be?

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a  reward.  It is the Lord Christ you are serving.  Colossians 3:23

I think we’re probably all familiar with these principles.  But have we been applying them to our business?  If we reap what we sow, then $99 and 6 minutes work will certainly not sustain us for long!  If we are serious about making a living then we must be willing to put in a certain amount of work and invest a reasonable amount of money.  There are so many opportunities out there that promise something for nothing.  Please…research carefully.  Don’t get caught up in something that is going to cost you more in time and money then you can invest, but do find something with a good balance of each.

In my case, the initial “sowing” involved extensive time and some cost, but once things are set up, the time and money needed to keep things running is well within my budget for each.  This leaves me plenty of time for ministry and will support me with enough left over to be a very cheerful giver!  Remember this:  Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 2 Corinthians 9:6.

Wow, we’ve been working hard.  In Part Five, we’ll talk about something equally important – R E S T !

Yours In  Jesus,
